I built this mid-eighteenth century coat and trousers for a Costume Construction class I took under Ronnie Chamberlain. The coat was draped and partially flat patterned, while the pants were completely flat patterned. I did the mock up in muslin, and constructed the finished

product with blue upholstery velvet, which I bag lined.
