The Tempest is a romantic comedy about imprisonment, and how love and forgiveness can free you. The costumes will evoke the era of “power love ballads”, the 1980s. This production takes a music video-styled glimpse into the world that Prospero has created; his clothes as well as the clothes of those who interact with him will embody famous lead singers as he leads the journey. This design reached a workshop-level one-scene performance.
